3. Eric Paschall

Since Stephen Curry went down, Eric Paschall has been a standout so far among the newcomers. He’s averaging 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30.4 minutes per game, while shooting 52.8 percent overall, 28.6 percent on 2.1 3-point attempts per game and 90 percent from the line across 10 appearances.

In Draymond Green‘s four-game absence due to an injured finger, Paschall averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in in 35.8 minutes a game on 48.4 percent shooting overall (30-for-62), 38 percent from beyond the arc (6-for-16) and 88 percent from the charity stripe .

As the numbers show, Paschall has been more effective than Draymond on the offensive end, so coach Steve Kerr has to continue running part of the offense through him as the Golden State Warriors’ main option off the bench.

The 23-year-old Villanova product will have ample opportunities throughout the season to remain a major part of Kerr’s rotation as Draymond’s primary backup.

Now with Draymond back in the starting lineup, Paschall must maintain the intensity and production he possessed in the absence of the Warriors’ defensive anchor and use it as motivation to be as reliable on the bench as he was as a starter.
