3 Golden State Warriors who need to step up with Stephen Curry out

With Stephen Curry’s recent hand injury, the Golden State Warriors are going to need some other players to step up. Here are three players who must step up and carry the workload in Curry’s absence.
As if the Golden State Warriors‘ luck couldn’t get any worse, Stephen Curry broke his left hand during the fourth game of the 2019-20 NBA season. Curry joined a lengthy list of injured Warriors Klay Thompson, Kevon Looney, Alen Smailagic, Damion Lee (similar injury to Curry’s) and Jacob Evans, all of whom are out indefinitely.
Through the first 11 games of the season, the Warriors are 2-9 and are tied with the New York Knicks for the worst record in the NBA. While Curry’s return date looms and other injured Warriors recover from the sidelines, coach Steve Kerr is going to need certain players to amp up their production on both ends of the floor.
Despite the report of Curry missing the remainder of the season being been shot down by the Warriors themselves, he will still miss at least three months.
That leaves only two stars on the Warriors’ roster to shoulder the offensive and defensive responsibility due to the lengthy absences of Curry and Thompson. Fortunately, Kerr will have a lot of time to solidify his rotation and develop the roster to his liking.
This season will be an odd one without Curry and Klay on the floor, but it may prove to be a fruitful experience to go through the growing pains of a young and new roster.
Here are the three players who must step up and replace Curry’s productivity to the best of their abilities.
