Tyler Bey, Colorado

Position: F
Height: 6’7″
Weight: 215

Tyler Bey is another player who doesn’t have a ton of hype surrounding him, but is a solid all-around player whose physical profile and athleticism should make him a late first-, early second-round draft pick. He runs the floor, plays defense and rebounds very well. Bey needs to improve his offensive game if he wants to have a long career as a role player.

Think early Al-Farouq Aminu when you think of Bey. Aminu wasn’t the most offensively polished player coming out of college and for most of his NBA career until he ended up with the Portland Trail Blazers and became a good shooter and one of the more valuable 3-and D players in the NBA.

For the Blazers, Bey would have a chance to develop his game with the coaching staff, but his physical tools and aggressive playing style can’t be taught. He will have the ability to play both forward spots in the league, and that kind of switchability is what NBA teams look for.

Even if he doesn’t figure out his offensive game, Bey could be like an Andre Roberson type guy. Portland has already felt the impact of not having Aminu on the roster this year and could now try and find his replacement a season later in Bey.
