College players to keep an eye on for the Portland Trail Blazers
By Ty Delbridge
College basketball has officially begun, and that just means we are one step closer to the 2020 NBA Draft. Here are some players that the Portland Trail Blazers fans and front office should keep an eye on.
The Portland Trail Blazers have gotten off to a slow start to the 2019-20 NBA season. They have six new players this year and are also dealing with some injuries to their starting lineup. Portland still has plenty of time to figure this out and are still projected to make the NBA playoffs.

But, looking ahead, the Blazers will have some tough decisions to make for their roster this summer, but the first step in improving the team in the offseason starts in the NBA Draft. The Blazers own their first-round pick and will be able to use that to select a player or use it as a trade asset.
The Blazers will most likely finish the year with a good record and making the playoffs so their draft pick will be more towards the end of the first round. That hasn’t been an issue in the past as the Blazers selected Anfernee Simons and Nassir Little in the back half of the first round.
But if Portland doesn’t have a good year and ends up slipping a little bit, their selection could be in the lottery and they would have a chance to grab a very impactful player early.
Either way, this 2020 draft class has some talent, and no matter where the Blazers are picking, they should be able to find a good player. Now that the college basketball season has started, let’s take a look at three players, the Blazers front office and fans should be keeping tabs on.
