2. Anthony Davis in New Orleans: Nov. 27

Several superstars in recent years have made their way out of the smaller markets that drafted them. None made that saga last as long as Anthony Davis when a denied trade request left him a member of the New Orleans Pelicans far longer than anyone around the situation would’ve preferred.

It was an all-around awkward situation. Following the deadline, Davis was put on a minutes restriction and then benched all together.

Pelicans fans hated to lose a talent the caliber of the Brow, but by this point, they, along with the organization, simply wanted to move forward with the next step.

As Davis is set to face off against his former team, the same can be said regarding those he was traded for. Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart have embraced their new opportunity and have thrived early in the season.

That doesn’t absolve the former future of the Los Angeles Lakers of any bitterness towards L.A. from the psychological torture they were forced to endure from the moment AD wanted out.

Davis seems to have nothing but love for the franchise that drafted him No. 1 overall back in 2012 and he’ll take the boos in stride having moved on to bigger and better things.

The Pelicans have moved on as have their most recent additions. This will be the game for them to enact just a smidge of revenge by showing it with a victory.
