4. Jimmy Butler in Philadelphia: Nov. 23

Jimmy Butler and the Philadelphia 76ers seemed like a perfect pairing when the former was acquired almost a year ago. Their relationship lasted less than a year before Butler became a free agent, but Philly checked just about every box that it seemed likely the four-time All-Star would commit long term.

After a sign-and-trade that landed Butler with the Miami Heat, both sides seem to be doing just fine. The Sixers are atop the Eastern Conference with a 5-1 record. in a tie with the 5-1 Heat.

That being said, Butler is not the type to downplay this type of game. Always looking to prove himself, he’ll want to go out and dominate his former teammates the way he did the starters on the Minnesota Timberwolves to validate what many still consider a questionable free-agent decision.

Barring another suspension, one can’t forget about the presence of Joel Embiid in any type of narrative-driven battle. The always — still — vocal big man is sure to play to the Philly faithful and make sure Butler feels if only a bit of regret regarding his move down to South Beach.

The elevated level of play between both sides will no doubt manifest on the court. More importantly, it’s likely to create a back and forth between two of the NBA’s biggest personalities that are sure to entertain.
