6. Mike Conley in Memphis: Nov. 15

Mike Conley never wanted to leave the Memphis Grizzlies, but as the team fell further down the standings and his fellow Grit and Grind teammates found new homes, the writing was on the wall for the then 31-year old to look elsewhere in pursuit of contention.

Memphis helped develop Conley into the franchise’s all-time leader in points and assists. In return, Conley served as the driving force behind the most successful tenure in Grizzlies history that included seven consecutive postseason appearances and their only outing in the Western Conference Finals.

Those looking for a bitter revenge game will have to look elsewhere. The two sides have nothing but love and admiration for each other even after their split. It’s why the Grizzlies did their best to send Conley to a place for him to compete for a championship in the Utah Jazz.

There will be a standing ovation and a touching video tribute. Conley means so much to the Grizzlies and the organization will make sure he knows that when he returns to the place that will eventually hang his jersey in the rafters.
