3. Jason Smith

Jason Smith can play both center and power forward and that versatility could be significant for the Portland Trail Blazers, even when their starting frontcourt is healthy. He can bang around down low, but can also space the floor as a decent 3-point shooter.

He is 7’0″ and 240 pounds and at 33, he is a smart player that will accept his position as a role player and possibly an end of bench guy towards the end of the season. Smith 6.1  points and 3.4 rebounds per game in his career and is a 33 percent 3-point shooter.

Smith would provide depth at both frontcourt spots for the Blazers. He doesn’t impact the game like Hassan Whiteside or Zach Collins on the defensive end, but his ability to shoot the 3-ball makes him a perfect fit in the offense.

The Blazers added Anthony Tolliver, who is a 3-point shooting big, but adding another one to the bench makes this team that more interesting and would give Terry Stotts more weapons to work with and put around his stars.
