Collin Sexton

Collin Sexton is picking up right where he left off from his rookie year. The former All-Rookie team member has put on a show as a high-scoring guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Young Bull showed his horns against the Bulls with an explosive dunk over Wendell Carter Jr. in the fourth quarter. This moment of triumph capped off an 18-point scoring performance.

Overall, Sexton is putting up 17.5 points per game on 46/40/70 shooting splits. He has scored at least 16 points in 17 consecutive games and is proving he can coexist with another star backcourt partner in Darius Garland.

Sexton is only averaging 2.0 assists per game, but his playmaking abilities look much better than last season. He has adapted to the NBA level and is making the correct pass more often than not.

As Garland has taken a backseat, Sexton has thrived. Sexton is continuing to take smart shots and knock down the 3-pointer at an efficient rate. It is obvious that his teammates trust him with the ball in his hands.

There may come a time when Garland becomes the Cavaliers’ point of emphasis on offense. However, Sexton is getting the job done currently and it will be a treat to watch his development continue.
