The Chicago Bulls split a pair on the road before getting bombed by the Raptors in their home opener. Zach LaVine has been productive, putting up 21.3 points, 5.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 31.3 minutes per game. while shooting 45.3 percent overall and going 6-for-16 from deep.

team. 64. . 1-2. Previous: . Detroit Pistons. 21

Last week: Won at Indiana 119-110, lost to Atlanta 117-100, lost to Philadelphia 117-111

This week: Monday vs. Indiana, Wednesday at Toronto, Friday at Chicago, Saturday vs. Brooklyn

The Detroit Pistons have gotten off to a bit of a staggering start to the season as they are dealing with a lot of day-to-day aches and pains already while still waiting for Blake Griffin to return from a hamstring injury.

It was a week of diminishing returns for Andre Drummond, who went off for 32 points and 23 rebounds in their win at Indiana, fell off to 21 points and 12 boards in their stunning loss to the Hawks at home and was limited to 13 points and 12 boards before fouling out in just 25 minutes against Philadelphia.

But the Pistons are also dealing with Reggie Jackson‘s back, Markieff Morris‘ back, Louis King‘s calf and Sekou Doumbouya‘s concussion in the early going. Derrick Rose is averaging 25.3 points in just 26.3 minutes per game off the bench, so he’s throwing himself into the (way too) early discussions for Sixth Man of the Year.

. 1-2. Previous: . Washington Wizards. 20. team. 142

Last week: Lost at Dallas 108-100, won at Oklahoma City 97-85, lost at San Antonio 124-122

This week: Wednesday vs. Houston, Saturday vs. Minnesota

At least through the season’s first three games, the Washington Wizards haven’t looked too bad. They’ve been every game so far and picked up a 12-point road win at Oklahoma City and have some help on the way, with Isaiah Thomas returning from his thumb injury to hang 16 points and five dimes in just 20 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Bradley Beal has been a bit, ummmmm … wayward with his shooting thus far, hitting only 30.6 percent overall and 23.3 percent on an average of 10 3-point attempts per game. He’s averaging 20.3 points per game, but doing it on 24 shots a night — not a hallmark for the efficiency experts.

The Wizards still have some injury concerns, with C.J. Miles day-to-day and no returns in sight yet for Troy Brown, Ian Mahinmi or Jordan McRae, who injured his right ring finger in the opener and had surgery Friday. Rookie Rui Hachimura has averaged 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game thus far, shooting 46.9 percent overall while going 0-for-8 from 3-point land.
