Predictions for the 2019-20 Boston Celtics

4. Brown balls out
Jaylen Brown has struggled for consistency during his first three years in the league. Now entering his fourth year, he has it all to prove. Having just signed an extension with the Boston Celtics, the front office is showing faith Brown can develop into a key player for years to come.
Improvements are still required though, improvements that Brown has shown over the course of the preseason games he participated in. His left hand is looking far stronger than it did last year, both in terms of his handles and ability to finish.
He displayed this ability early in the Oct. 11 game against the Magic. This was made all the more impressive due to the defensive resistance Brown met during his drive. Last year when driving left, Brown was erratic at best. He would either switch to his right hand or turn the ball over. It was easy for teams to game plan against him.
If his showing in preseason is an indicator of his improvements in this area, along with him showing greater aptitude on defense, then the Celtics could have a solid young wing able to affect games in even more positive ways.
Brown is already a winner after snagging his four-year extension worth $115 million, now he needs to repay the faith shown by expanding his game and improving on his current skill set.
