The Cleveland Cavaliers have a few players on the roster that could surprise fans this season.

For the first time in a while, the Cleveland Cavaliers have a ton of budding prospects that could blossom into stars.

More from Hoops Habit

Contrary to popular belief, the front office has done a fantastic job of building a team for the future with the scraps they were given. It isn’t easy to recover from losing superstar talents such as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

The fact that the Cavaliers have had horrible luck in the NBA Draft Lottery only makes things worse. The highly coveted Brooklyn Nets pick, which was acquired in the Irving trade, wound up falling to eighth in the order. Then, despite having the second-highest odds of winning the lottery, the Cavaliers fell to fifth in the 2019 NBA draft.

Even so, Cleveland emerged as one of the winners of the draft. The franchise selected Darius Garland, Dylan Windler and Kevin Porter Jr. all in the first round. Now, the Cavaliers have numerous players on the roster capable of having breakout seasons.

Porter is a player who is already garnering a ton of attention. Many believe that KPJ will go down as a major steal in the draft as his athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect.

Though Porter is an excellent player for this article, we will focus more on players who have been flying under the radar or have new talents that they will debut this season. Therefore, talents such as Kevin Love, Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman will be left off this list.
