It’s going to be a long process. As the Cavaliers attempt to move forward following the brutal losses of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, their faith has been placed in the hands of multiple young prospects.
Players such as Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman got the ball rolling last season. Osman had a terrific coming out party as he reached the NBA’s Rising Stars Challenge, while Sexton proved to be one of the best rookies in his class.
Now, the Cavaliers have three more rookies to add to their collection. Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Windler will all have an opportunity to prove themselves and leave their mark on the organization this season.
Alongside the young guys will be proven veterans like Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson. These two big men will command the Cavaliers frontcourt and offer some stability during tough times. Other names like Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson will provide a spark of production with the second unit.
Each player will be entering the season with their own set of expectations. Today, we preview what to expect from each of the Cavaliers core players.
