Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry, D’Angelo Russell, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Marquese Chriss

Though preseason must be taken with a grain of salt, Marquese Chriss looks like a serviceable NBA player in blue and gold. Next to Curry and Green, that’s all you really need to be. Thompson won’t be back until late in the season, but in the meantime there’s not much exciting tinkering to do with this rotation.

Los Angeles Clippers: Patrick Beverley, Landry Shamet, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, JaMychal Green

The Clippers can have a lot of different combinations and this one is especially versatile. The weakest defensive link is Shamet, who drastically improved on that end throughout his rookie season. Leonard and George is arguably the cleanest fit of any superstar duo and Beverley makes every possession worth watching.

Los Angeles Lakers: LeBron James, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Anthony Davis

Though the Lakers say they’re going with a traditional frontcourt, the important minutes will require Davis to slide to the 5. LeBron, wings and a ferocious roll man has always been dangerous; Kuzma just has to prove he’s legit.

Phoenix Suns: Devin Booker, Kelly Oubre, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Deandre Ayton

Though Rubio fills a hole that was ignored for years, he’s still not an ideal fit next to Booker. Phoenix’s franchise player improved as a playmaker last season and the team’s best lineups this year will involve him, shooters and Ayton.

Sacramento Kings: De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Harry Giles, Marvin Bagley

Vlade Divac has tried his damnedest to acquire every big man in the league, but the best lineups in Sacramento are based on the backcourt. Fox is on pace for stardom, Hield is a damn good volume shooter, Bogdanovic has multiple levels to his offensive game and the two bigs are ridiculously bouncy.
