Throughout the NBA’s 82-game regular season grind, some unpredictable things can happen. Amidst that chaos, here is a quintet from each team that would be fun to see.

The NBA’s regular season is long, grueling and weird. Most nights result in teams going through the motions, playing their regular contributors like an average day at the office.

But sometimes it gets weird. The randomness of injury, player streakiness and unique roster construction can lead to some interesting deployments.

This offseason was one of the most active since unrestricted free agency became a reality in 1988. About half the league was ticketed for free agency and combined with the money teams had available, an unprecedented wave of player movement occurred.

Reshaped rosters means reshaped rotations, and quite a few rosters are unbalanced. Golden State’s breakup caused several teams to hone in on size; a bunch of teams will be starting two conventional bigs.

This will not be an exercise in finding the best lineup for each squad, but rather ones that would be interesting to see. A lot of teams will be bad and should go all-in on youth instead of trying to win. Certain competitive teams will realize their frontcourt tandem doesn’t complement each other. Some players are known quantities with capped ceilings; let’s see what else your team has.
