What’s in store for the Bucks? 5 predictions for 2019-20
By Jordan Foote
1. The Milwaukee Bucks will become NBA champions
If it weren’t for Kawhi Leonard’s heroics last postseason, the Milwaukee Bucks may have won their first championship since 1971. What-if situations don’t go very far in the NBA, though, so it’s not worth dwelling on for too long.
Back to the Eastern Conference being primarily a two-team race. The 76ers, on paper, look like as good of a team as any in the league. However, there are a few moving pieces that aren’t guaranteed to gel together and depth is a concern. No contender is perfect and Philadelphia is a perfect example of that heading into 2019-20.
In the Western Conference, there are just so many teams that believe this could be the year they shock the world and get to the NBA Finals.
It’s not like the East, where the top three to four squads have legitimate hopes of getting to the pinnacle series, then getting obliterated by the West’s representative.
A lot is up in the air this season. As the Bucks return almost their entire team from 2018-19, things are looking up. With an Antetokounmpo contract extension on the horizon, what better sales pitch to make than 2019-20 NBA champions?
