2. Nets will crack the top 10 in 3-point shooting percentage

While the Brooklyn Nets haven’t been one of the elite 3-point shooting teams in the league over the past few seasons, they have made some noteworthy progress. In 2016-17, they finished 26th in the league, shooting 33.8 percent from beyond the arc.

The following season, Brooklyn placed 20th in 3-point accuracy, converting 35.6 percent of its attempts from distance. Last season, the Nets moved up the rankings once again, as they finished 14th in 3-point shooting.

In addition to Joe Harris — who shot a very efficient 47.4 percent from distance in 2018-19 to lead the NBA — the Nets added a couple of additional perimeter threats to the mix as well. Irving converted 40.1 percent of his attempts from 3-point range last season.

Additionally, Taurean Prince — acquired from the Atlanta Hawks — has shot better than 38 percent from beyond the arc in each of the last two seasons.

Based on the trends of the team in this category, along with the additional players they’ve brought in who can shoot the ball at an efficient clip from long range, the Nets will finish no worse than 10th in 3-point shooting percentage next season.
