Pro: Interior offense

As a young team with so much turnover during the summer, Minnesota Timberwolves fans could have been worrying about how well the new post duo of Robert Covington and Karl-Anthony Towns would work together.

However, the little evidence that we have seems to point to Minnesota’s play in the paint being one of their stronger facets. RoCo and KAT went 7-for-11 — 63.6 percent -0 from 2-point range, and the rest of the team contributed too, going 48-of-82 — 58.5 percent — from 2-point range.

The main reason that it would seem like Minnesota had shooting woes — they averaged 41.0 percent from the field over the last two games — is because of their 3-point shooting. The Timberwolves shot just 24.0 percent from 3-point range across the games against the Suns and the Warriors, but their play when they moved inside the arc was spectacular.

If the Wolves can find a nice balance between the long-ball and post play, then they could be a really dangerous offensive team.
