Houston Rockets: 3 goals for Eric Gordon in 2019-20
In spite of starring in multiple roles over the last few seasons, Eric Gordon has worked to cement himself as a key piece on the Houston Rockets.
Despite playing on a team that has sought to feature zestful backcourt pairings throughout his tenure with the franchise, Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon has done nothing but find a way to thrive in virtually every role within Mike D’Antoni’s vaunted offense.
This is in addition to coming up grand in the process, as the sharpshooting guard who was once taxed by persisting injuries has managed to fully resurrect his career as of recent times.
The 30-year-old wing — who signed with the Rockets in the summer of 2016 — averaged 16.2 points per game on 40.9 percent shooting from the field through 68 contests last year.
On the way to finishing in the top 15 in 3-pointers made for the third consecutive season, the former Sixth Man got off to a sluggish start but found a way to quickly bounce back following his official insertion into the Rockets starting lineup.
"“He’s so offensively gifted and talented,” Rockets guard James Harden told Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston when asked to describe Gordon’s game this past season. “Being able to shoot the basketball, being able to get to the rim, being able to make plays for others. “When you get a guy like that on the floor with you, it makes the game easy for not only myself but for everybody.”"
Can the man who has recently proven to be Clutch City’s unsung hero find a way to help lead the Rockets back to the promised land? Here are the three goals for Gordon in 2019-20.
