For diehard basketball fans the upcoming NBA season can’t get here soon enough. With that in mind, it’s time to make a few bold declarations that may actually have a chance at coming to fruition.

Although the NBA is considered to be one of the more predictable leagues in all of sports, there were a few unexpected twists and turns that took place last season. For instance, the Milwaukee Bucks finished with the best record in the NBA at 60-22 and they were a top-five team in both offense and defense.

More from Hoops Habit

This is quite the accomplishment for a team that hadn’t won more than 45 games since the 2009-10 campaign.

With the best shooting backcourt tandem in the NBA, combined with having one of the most prolific scorers on the roster in Kevin Durant, it wasn’t a surprise to many that the Golden State Warriors advanced to their fifth consecutive NBA Finals, becoming just the second team in history to pull off such a feat.

The surprise factor had to do with the Dubs losing the series in six games thanks to injuries to both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

So, while most of the sports world expected the Warriors to claim their fourth title in five years, it is easy to see to how unforeseen circumstances can change things a bit. Having said that, here’s a look at a few bold predictions for the upcoming 2019-20 NBA season.
