10. D.J. Augustin, Orlando Magic

A career journeyman who has played for eight teams in his 11 seasons as a pro, D.J. Augustin had his best season last year for the surprising Orlando Magic.

Playing as a full-time starter for the first time since 2011 and 2012 on the infamous Charlotte Bobcats, Augustin proved himself an efficient game manager with a 3.3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio and a 42.1 percent 3-point shooting mark on 3.8 attempts per game. He also exceeded 60 percent in True Shooting Percentage for a second consecutive season.

In what will be his age-32 season, Augustin looks to reprise his role from last season. Unfortunately, his understudy will challenge for minutes this season, especially if Orlando falls out of playoff contention at any point.

The Magic have some stake in developing Markelle Fultz as their point guard of the future; if Augustin stumbles, the team struggles or Fultz plays well, Augustin’s opportunities will decrease drastically. All things considered, D.J. Augustin appears primed for a regression this season.
