With the 2010’s coming to an end, let’s examine a potential All-Decade Team, composed of some of the finest New York Knicks players.

It’s fair to say that it’s been .. .quite the decade for the New York Knicks and the team’s fans.

More from Hoops Habit

You probably know the expression, “We’ve had our ups and downs.” Well, in New York’s case, it’s more like, “We’ve had our downs and even deeper downs.”

It would be exhausting to list every moment of drama witnessed in Madison Square Garden and its’ surroundings but we’re trying to keep this article on a semi-positive vibe.

From the Charles Oakley incident at Madison Square Garden all the way to the Kristaps Porzingis fiasco that ended with a trade, the New York Knicks organization seems to enjoy keeping the fans on the edge of their seats.

Recently NBA.com released the first, second and third All-Decade teams for the decade of the 2010s. Gladly for the Knicks, those lists did contain a player of theirs, Carmelo Anthony.

With that list in mind, composing a list of New York Knicks stars should have to be based on 3 key factors.

  • Longevity
  • Level of play
  • Admiration by the fans

We couldn’t, of course, make a list of any kind without first examining those players that just missed the cut.

Honorable mentions: Tim Hardaway Jr., Lance Thomas, David Lee, Iman Shumpert, Kristaps Porzingis (yeah, wow).
