2. Shoot 40 percent or better from 3-point range

Although P.J. Tucker’s number is rarely ever called upon to provide a great abundance on offense, the 6’6″, 245-pound product has proven to be one of the game’s best in catch-and-shoot situations through his first two years with the Houston Rockets.

Including from beyond the arc, as one could argue that the nine-year veteran has arguably been the biggest beneficiary of playing alongside James Harden out in H-Town.

The former Texas star — who knocked down 115 triples in his inaugural year for the Rockets — constructed one of the best individual shooting campaigns from long range, hitting a career-best 146 3-pointers last season.

On the way to carving out his own on-court living space in the process, as the former All-American would find a way to punish teams by knocking down one of the most valuable shots in basketball:

Tucker — who shot 37.7 percent from deep through 82 games — hit a league-best 109 treys from the corner last season.

"“It’s a specialty type of shot,” Tucker said to Bleacher Report’s Yaron Weitzman when asked about what it is like to navigate and shoot in such a narrow space. “You have the awkwardness of it because of the angle with the backboard, you have to worry about the footwork.” “It’s just the best place to go for space…I’ve spent the past two years standing in the corners for 90 percent of the game. And I practice that shot more than any other.”"

Should Tucker find a way to pick up right where he left off, then shooting at least 40 percent or better from 3-point land may not be out of the realm of possibility.

Especially with the majority of Houston’s offensive sets being structured to take advantage of his greatest strength, as playing alongside the game’s ultimate roadrunner will likely lead to Tucker garnering a bevy of open looks from his most ideal spot in the months to come.
