The 34-year-old forward — who signed with Clutch City in the summer of 2017 — averaged a career postseason-best 11.4 points on 45.5 percent shooting from the field for the Rockets during the 2019 NBA Playoffs.
Including taking on the challenge of guarding the game’s top stars, as the pro who was once regarded as an undersized tweener has worked to make an honest living by playing much bigger than his counterparts.
"“Honestly, I don’t even know where we’d be without him,” Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said per Jonathan Abrams of Bleacher Report when asked about Tucker’s impact since his arrival two years ago. “He and Clint [Capela] really anchor our defense. More than any other player outside James [Harden] and Chris [Paul], he sets the tone.”"
