1. The Timberwolves will go over .500
The Minnesota Timberwolves are a young team looking to prove their worth to a Western Conference that saw a huge influx of talent over the summer.
Not only that, but the Timberwolves are also on a mission to show that the slow start to the 2018-2019 season was due to the locker room issues that were being caused by Jimmy Butler and Tom Thibodeau. The best way to do this would be to take their own conference by storm, and end up a better-than-.500 team this year.
Minnesota has gone over .500 just seven times in the last 20 years and just once in the last 15 years. Still, the Timberwolves are looking primed to upset the entire Western Conference.
Towns is looking to make an impact after questions about his talent being raised before the All-Star break last year, Wiggins is set up in the best possible scenario and the crop of new players like Robert Covington, Jarrett Culver, Jaylen Nowell, Josh Okogie and Keita Bates-Diop are looking to show that this team has what it takes to make it in a tough Western Conference.
So hold on Timberwolves fans, because this year might just be fun.
