LA Clippers: Bold predictions after an even bolder offseason

While the LA Clippers remain front-runners for attaining NBA gold this year, don’t be surprised if that’s not the only league hardware they come away with. Here are 3 bold predictions for the LA Clippers in the 2019-20 season.
The LA Clippers won’t sneak up on anybody this season, as most power rankings have them squarely in the driver’s seat of a much more balanced NBA landscape. Kawhi Leonard, the primary reason for this massive change in perception and expectations, will be asked to duplicate the immediate success he found with the Toronto Raptors the previous year.

While Paul George appears to be recovering nicely in preparation for his debut later in the season, Leonard should hit the ground running with little to no rust coming off a long championship run.
As head coach Doc Rivers takes time to find his preferred in-game rotations it will be Leonard’s star level ability and consistency that carries the LA Clippers through trial and error periods early in the year.
Having a wealth of talent at your disposal is always an ideal situation from a competitive standpoint, but teamwork and cohesiveness usually determines who the last team standing is. Fielding a squad full of quality NBA defenders only makes the LA Clippers goal of winning its first championship that much more realistic.
Rivers has the task of ensuring this tremendous opportunity is not squandered for anything less than an NBA title.
