1. Mavericks will have multiple All-Star players on the roster

We’ve already touched on the numbers that Porzingis has put up over the past few seasons. And his production during the 2017-18 campaign earned him an All-Star selection.

However, Porzingis isn’t the only All-Star caliber player on the Mavericks’ roster. You see, Luka Doncic arrived on the NBA scene last season, and in a big way. In 72 games (all starts), Doncic posted averages of 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists on shooting splits of .427/.327/.713.

With a healthy Porzingis in the mix, it would be reasonable to presume that Doncic will have the potential to improve upon the already respectable numbers he put up last season. And if that is the case, Doncic should have no problem earning a spot on the All-Star squad.

Furthermore, if both players can stay healthy, along with Tim Hardaway Jr. turning in an efficient season, maybe, just maybe, the Mavericks will be in position to contend for a playoff berth at some point during the season.
