Brogdon and Warren will struggle with injuries

Malcolm Brogdon has played in just 112 games out of 164 in the past two seasons because of injury problems. T.J. Warren has played just 261 of 410 games (or about 52 a year) since he was a rookie in 2014-15.

The Indiana Pacers have been a M*A*S*H* unit for the past few seasons and there’s no guarantee Victor Oladipo’s going to be back at full health after a ruptured quadriceps tendon, so the biggest test of this team is going to be how they do minus at least one and probably multiple stars at a time.

Luckily this team is deep — Jeremy Lamb, Domantas Sabonis, and Myles Turner have all been fairly durable and first-round draft pick Goga Bitadze looks like a potential breakout star if he gets minutes vacated by one of the two big men in front of him on the depth chart.

But hopes for this team to challenge for a top-three seed will be dashed on the rocks when multiple key pieces miss time. A roster that looks great on paper simply will not be able to keep everyone on the floor.

But the boldest prediction of all?
