Sacramento Kings: 5 reasons to be excited for 2019-20 NBA season
By Adam Taylor
A promising season is on the horizon for the Sacramento Kings, no longer a team in constant transition, their time is coming.
Far too long have the Sacramento Kings and their fan base suffered, with rebuild after rebuild having taken place with no real progression. This time feels different, led by the young talents of De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley and a slightly older Buddy Hield.
Adding Dewayne Dedmon to the roster was a stylistic masterstroke, seeing as how he will replace the outgoing disappointment of Willie Cauley-Stein. Corey Joseph and Trevor Ariza both bring defensive intensity along with their offensive skill sets to the system Luke Walton will be looking to implement.
Having finished last season third in the league in pace, the Kings found their niche as one of the better teams in transition. Fox can push the tempo in a way the league hasn’t seen since John Wall before his numerous injuries. Bagley is athletic and mobile as is their primary sharpshooter in Hield.
Excitement is at a premium in Sacramento heading into the season. This team won’t contend for a championship just yet, but there’s no denying they will entertain on a nightly basis.
