With upcoming training camps just around the corner, here are 10 prime candidates for a breakout year in the 2019-20 NBA season.

As the 2019-20 NBA season rapidly approaches, there are naturally a number of story lines that will grab our attention. One of the more interesting ones to follow will be the continued emergence of a host of young players around the league.

From undrafted role players to immediate superstars, the timeline for each player’s ascension is never set in stone. Whether it’s increased opportunity or a complete change of scenery, each season seems to bring about a number of notable breakout performances.

Last season, some of the more notable breakout campaigns included first time All-Stars Nikola Jokic and D’Angelo Russell and the emerging Sacramento Kings backcourt of De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield.

Entering this season, there’s again a host of players poised to make a significant impact and break through to the next level, whether it be an All-Star debut, or as a key component of a championship contender.

So with this in mind, here are 10 prime candidates who could emerge with their own breakout seasons in the 2019-20 season.
