The Cleveland Cavaliers are hoping each of their rookies can set and accomplish a few goals this season.

The 2019-20 NBA season will be a year of rebuilding for the Cleveland Cavaliers. This franchise is set to take a big step forward with multiple promising prospects on the roster.

An underwhelming 19-63 season left the Cavaliers without much to take from last year. The squad saw nothing but turmoil and struggle aside from a few strong performances from Cedi Osman and Collin Sexton.

Most of the team’s problems came in the form of injury. The young players were thrown into the fire early when injuries to Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson left the rotation thin. The results were disappointing to say the least, but the overall development of each player was significant.

Sexton, in particular, gained some valuable knowledge during this stretch. Sexton was able to break multiple franchise rookie records and earn a spot on the All-Rookie team as the Cavaliers offensive focal point.

Now, the Cavaliers have three new players to help strengthen the lineup. Cleveland selected Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Windler all in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Together, these rookies look to carry the franchise to a successful season. In order to do this, each rookie needs to set a goal and accomplish it. Today, we look at realistic goals for Garland, Windler and Porter.
