After an unexpected summer the Oklahoma City Thunder find themselves entering the 2019-20 season with subdued expectations but if these bold expectations come true it will have Thunder fans excited for a bright future.

Paul George is in LA. Russell Westbrook is in Houston. Chris Paul is calling Oklahoma City “home” for the first time since 2006. Instead of hopes for the NBA Finals, the team now hopes to land a top-five draft pick.
The NBA changes fast and along with that comes changing expectations. Oklahoma City has routinely be expected to at least make the playoffs for the past decade.
After last summer those expectations are gone, replaced with thoughts of what the future — including the 15 draft picks over the next six years — holds.
With the start of the 2019-20 season approaching Thunder and NBA fans are wondering when, if ever, the team will be competitive again. If these three bold predictions come true, the answer may be “sooner rather than later.”
