Cleveland began its rebuild in the 2018 NBA Draft. Before LeBron James even announced his decision, the Cavaliers selected Collin Sexton with the No. 8 pick. Once James elected to leave the team, Sexton became the Cavs’ saving glory.
A bumpy rookie season saw Sexton go through some drastic ups-and-downs. At his peak, he was a top-three rookie in his class. However, at his worst, he ranked towards the bottom of nearly every advanced statistic.
Now, the Cavaliers look to add to their youth with the selection of Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Windler. These three rookies are set to blend in with Cedi Osman and Sexton as the franchise attempts to move past the loss of James.
Assuming that this season goes well, but not so good that they miss out on a lottery pick, let’s break down five 2020 NBA Draft prospects the Cavaliers should be watching.
