One of the heavy favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference, here are three bold predictions for the Philadelphia 76ers in season 2019-20.

There was somewhat of a changing of the guard this offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers.

More from Hoops Habit

On the way out were Jimmy Butler and J.J. Redick. On the way in were Al Horford and Josh Richardson, in addition to the re-signing of Tobias Harris and several other key signings.

Having been bounced out in the second round of the playoffs for the second year in a row, the Sixers concluded that their current roster makeup was not ultimately sufficient to take them to the next level.

Not changing however was the All-Star duo of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

Despite Butler’s excellent showing in the postseason and Redick returning a career-high in scoring at age 34, the Sixers instead demonstrated that their utmost faith rested with this dynamic duo, with this new cast brought in to act primarily as supporting acts to this emerging twosome.

While Harris is an offensive force, Horford and Richardson’s strengths lie at the defensive end of the floor, thus signalling the Sixers’ clear intentions moving forward.

So with their training camp just around the corner, here are three bold predictions for the Philadelphia 76ers in season 2019-20.
