5. Adding Tomas Satoransky to the backcourt

There had been no secret as to what the Chicago Bulls needed most as they geared up for the 2019 offseason. Kris Dunn, a former top-five pick and key acquisition in the Jimmy Butler trade, simply hasn’t done enough to warrant a starting position.

It was clear that the Bulls would shop around for a better floor general for 2019-20.

Enter Tomas Satoransky.

The former Washington Wizards guard was acquired by the Bulls in a sign-and-trade on July 1. For a couple of second-round draft picks, the team had not only addressed a problem area by drafting Coby White seventh overall in June, they solidified it by acquiring Satoransky.

The 27-year-old Czech star has endeared himself to Bulls fans this summer during the FIBA World Cup in China, averaging 15.2 points, 7.4 assists and 6.0 rebounds in five World Cup appearances.

At 6’7″, Satoransky brings length and versatility with the ability to play three positions effectively, representing a clear upgrade over the inconsistent Dunn.
