Best NBA Jam duo for Brooklyn Nets: Vince Carter + Kevin Durant

This article seeks to share the love and not nominate the same player for multiple franchises. Players like LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar only appear for one franchise. Yet for one player we make an exception: Vince Carter.

If this list is populated with superstar scorers who also loved to dunk, Vince Carter was a superstar dunker who can also score. He was the result of someone manufacturing a player to perfectly excel in NBA Jam, with endless hops and a right arm that could be cocked back at an impossible angle before thundering home a dunk.

Kevin Durant is no stranger to dunks, with his Slim Reaper arms stretching out like Mr. Fantastic to chop home a dunk. Yet he is also in possession of a silky smooth jumper, and his height and arm length allow him to release the ball from the rafters, making him nigh unstoppable.

Imagine Kevin Durant heating up, getting into the zone as his logo catches flame. He could hit shots from any spot on the entire court, pull-ups from the midrange and 3-pointers and half-court bombs. No shot is too difficult for one of the greatest shooters to ever play the game.

Both Carter and Durant would rack up steals and even blocks, turning defense into instant offense in a flash. Defenders have to crowd Durant to prevent him from shooting, but somehow also stay home at the rim so Durant is not chucking alley-oops to Vinsanity. Together this offensive pairing would make opponents weep.
