Best NBA Jam duo for Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo + Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The Milwaukee Bucks have had two superstars in their history, players capable of winning the MVP and commonly considered to be the best in the league. One played for the team in its infancy as a franchise, one plays now at the peak of his powers. Together, they would be a cataclysmic combination.

Lew Alcindor led the Bucks to their only title in 1971 and won three MVPs with the team. While not a defensive pushover, he was a truly special offensive player, probably the best to ever play the game.

No one of any size or skill level could stop his skyhook and he averaged no fewer than 28 points per game through his age-38 season. The man who later changed his name to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was unstoppable anywhere near the rim.

Pairing the slow, but immovable force with a fast, bouncy, go-go-gadget-arms partner is exactly what Giannis Antetokounmpo brings. His strides eat up the court in huge chunks, and his Euro-step approach to the rim is inexplicable and irreplicable. If he is anywhere near the rim — even behind the backboard — he can reach up and slam it home.

Defensively, he’s versatile and long, one of the best defensive players in the league, even while he’s one of its best offensive players as well. Together, they would be very, very hard to beat.
