1. Montrezl Harrell

Some might say Montrezl Harrell is already coming off a breakout season with the Clippers. Averaging 16.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 26.3 minutes per game last year were all career highs due to an expanded role. Although starting few games during the year, Harrell always played when things mattered most and the game was on the line.

This speaks more to his impact as an enforcer and the uncanny ability to rack up hustle points in the paint. Harrell won’t have many plays run for him and doesn’t require the ball in space to create. He’s fully content with disrupting opponent’s game plans with a high energy play style that translates on both ends of the court.

The LA Clippers won’t need Harrell to score as much this season, but his hustle stats should be off the charts. Career highs in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks are well within range for the 6’8” big man, whose game motor is very tough to match.

Harrell proves night in and night out that he wants it more than his opponents. One thing that’s for sure is the LA Clippers will be a tough-minded defensive team for years to come.
