Golden State Warriors: 3 candidates for a breakout season in 2019-20

Final thoughts
Next season the Golden State Warriors will continue to be an exciting team to watch due to their excellent NBA Draft selections and notable additions of D’Angelo Russell and Willie Cauley-Stein.
The rookies and other off-season acquisitions have to earn their roles on the Warriors just like everyone else has to, so expect them to play their hardest.
An honorable mention to possibly have a breakout season for the Warriors is Eric Paschall, who can thrive as Draymond Green’s backup.
Although Poole and Paschall went against one another in the 2018 NCAA Championship with the latter being victorious, they can now share vital roles in the second unit for the Warriors, who need the boost now more than ever.
The addition of Cauley-Stein adds another seven-footer who can become involved in Kerr’s offense as a playmaker and provide spacing and be an alley-oop threat like JaVale McGee was.
Smailagić, on the other hand, is capable of playing both forward positions and be a focal point of Kerr’s offense through his playmaking, shooting, and slashing abilities.
Poole would be an instant scoring spark off the bench and help fill in until Thompson returns from his injury.
It is fair to say that while the Warriors lost several key players this summer, they have recovered gracefully and will be a championship contender for the next several seasons.
