Minnesota Timberwolves: 3 2020 free agency targets
By Ethan Becker
Even though the 2020 free agency class is certainly lacking a bit of star power, there are still some players that could help the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 2019 free-agency class was one of the most loaded classes that has been seen in some time. A pivotal moment in NBA history, there is no denying that the league was changed and the power structure reorganized this summer, even if the Minnesota Timberwolves didn’t really get into the game.

Next summer does not look to bring the same.
With most of the 2020 class’ big names either under a team option, restricted free agency, or having already signed new deals to their teams, the players left for this summer don’t seem as appealing as they did last year.
That doesn’t mean that there’s nobody to target though, or that teams should just start looking towards 2021 to continue to build. Middle-of-the-road teams like the Timberwolves could add a few key pieces in rotation players that could provide a boost for the 2020-2021 season.
Two things that the Wolves could always use more of is spot up shooters and defenders.
Rotation players who could release shots off of assists from Jeff Teague or Jarrett Culver are critical, and a few big men to hold down the paint while Karl-Anthony Towns and Robert Covington take a rest could be a huge addition to the team.
Luckily, there are a few more of those players that remain free agents.
