1. Spacing

The most important thing that Darius Garland and Collin Sexton can bring to the table is their ability to space the floor for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Their speed and scoring abilities play a major role in this. Due to the fact that they are both threats to shoot from deep or push the tempo in transition, each player will demand attention from opposing defenses.

Compare this to last season when Sexton was the only threat and we can see how this is already an upgrade. Plug in a potentially improved Cedi Osman and a healthy Kevin Love to round out the lineup and make this a fun team to watch.

New head coach, John Beilein, is already excited over the idea of these two prospects playing alongside each other. Beilein made a living off of a two-guard system in Michigan and should have no trouble transitioning his offensive system into the NBA.

This dual-guard approach can open a lot of things for the Cavaliers. With Sexton and Garland attacking off of the perimeter, Cleveland can slot Osman or Love into the corner, spreading the floor for a clean offensive attack.

It’s going to take a lot of work for both of these young stars to mesh together, but the potential for something special is there. Cleveland might be looking at the future of their franchise this season.
