Cleveland Cavaliers: Each core players ceiling this season
By Tony Pesta
The Cleveland Cavaliers are counting on big developments from their core players this season. Let’s look at the ceiling for each player.
It’s been a slow start to the rebuild for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though they saw a few glimpses of hope from Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman last year, the overall season was ugly as the team fell to a 19-63 record.
Finishing as the second-worst team in the league last season, the Cavaliers have plenty of room to improve. With three more promising rookies added to the roster, the franchise is hoping for at least one of them to hit their stride this season.
Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Winder will all be expected to step up and produce in their rookie campaigns. If even one of them turns into a rising star, the Cavaliers will be looking at a much more enjoyable 82-game season than the previous one.
But, what would happen if everyone hit their stride? Not only the young players but Kevin Love too. If each core player hit their ceiling this year, how far would it take the team?
Here, we are going to focus on six different players for the Cavaliers and determine what their realistic peak is this year. If everything goes right for these players, this is an honest prediction for how successful they could be in the 2019-20 NBA season.
