The Chicago Bulls are hoping to take the next step in Year 3 of the team’s rebuild. Here’s a look at the three biggest questions facing this team heading into the 2019-20 NBA season.

The Chicago Bulls didn’t endear themselves to their fan base last season for several reasons. First, their 22-60 mark with the fourth-worst record in the association. Not only that, but it was the team’s worst win-loss total in nearly two decades.

More from Hoops Habit

Remember when this Bulls squad was one of the most formidable defensive teams during the Tom Thibodeau era? Well, that certainly wasn’t the case in 2018-19. They finished 20th scoring defense, giving up 113.4 points per contest.

Additionally, the Bulls finished 25th in defensive efficiency, allowing 113.2 points per 100 possessions.

If those numbers weren’t already bad enough, Chicago finished 27th in scoring. In other words, this team was a train wreck at both ends of the floor. That assessment may be a bit harsh for a team that is in the second year of a rebuild. At the same time, the numbers speak for themselves.

As the Bulls attempt to improve in Year 3, here’s a look at three big questions heading into the 2019-20 NBA season.
