Who could have envisioned Pascal Siakam’s rise to NBA stardom last season?
The Cameroon-raised former New Mexico State Aggie went from G League star to an NBA champion on the heels of his breakout year last season with the Toronto Raptors. Not to mention, Siakam also took home some hardware as the NBA’s 2018-19 Most Improved Player.
To the surprise of many, Siakam went from simply a role player to the next great forward of the league in a span of a season.
While the Suns have struggled, to say the least, over the past five seasons, it hasn’t all been bad for the team residing in the Valley. Phoenix has developed a young core with a bright future ahead of their playing careers.
The team has also added a new coach in the form of former Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams, who was head coach of the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans for five seasons from 2010-15
With lots of moving pieces heading into next season, the Suns will be looking at a roster full of new players waiting to contribute. But which of these can step it up the next level and become the league’s next big superstar?
Here are the three Suns’ players most poised for a breakout campaign next season.
