Philadelphia 76ers: 5 must-watch games from 2019-20 NBA schedule
By Derek Hryn
3. Jan. 25 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (ABC)
One of the many potential NBA Finals scenarios, the Sixers will get their first crack at the LeBron James– and Anthony Davis-led Los Angeles Lakers around the season’s midpoint.
It’s always a hot ticket whenever King James comes to town, and following a forgettable campaign, the 34-year-old forward is anxious to return to postseason play.
The same could be said for Davis, who appeared in a career-low of 56 games with the New Orleans Pelicans before being traded to Los Angeles this offseason.
Now snug in his desired location, all eyes are going to be how he and James re-establish themselves as two of the best players in the NBA, while clawing to make a considerable jump in the team’s win column.
The Lakers are currently a dangerously top-heavy roster, and DeMarcus Cousins‘ recent torn ACL only exacerbates their frontcourt and bench problems. We’ll see how they plan to make it work.
