With his future with the Cleveland Cavaliers somewhat up in the air, here are the pros and cons of the Miami Heat trading for Kevin Love.
While the Miami Heat may have already landed a major coup this offseason with the sign-and-trade acquisition of Jimmy Butler, that doesn’t mean they are done doing business.
So while the name of All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal has been widely speculated as a target, Kevin Love is another considered to be a potential prospect if the price is right.
Following the departure of LeBron James, Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers have become strictly an afterthought as it pertains to the overall NBA landscape.
It certainly didn’t help that Love missed 60 games last season, making it 105 games in total he’s missed over the past three seasons.
Having said that, Love has still managed to perform at a high level when he’s been able to get on the floor during his tenure in Cleveland. A double-double machine, Love’s propensity to fill out the box score has never been questioned.
However, with the team clearly in the midst of a rebuild, Love’s timeline as a player does not appear to align with that of the Cavaliers.
So with Butler already on board, here’s a look at the pros and cons should the Heat pursue a deal to acquire Kevin Love.
