Championship contenders are all about star players and the impressive supporting cast behind them. Which members of the Milwaukee Bucks could break out?

The Milwaukee Bucks are all-in for the 2019-20 season and beyond. With Giannis Antetokounmpo coming into his own as one of the league’s best players, the star power is there. His sidekick, Khris Middleton, was recently signed to a lucrative five-year max contract that will keep him in Milwaukee through his prime and Eric Bledsoe signed an extension of his own earlier this season.

As shown by last season’s NBA champion Toronto Raptors depth is what wins titles. The Bucks are slated to have a ton of it heading into 2019-20, which bodes quite well for them. Aside from losing Malcolm Brogdon and Nikola Mirotic during the offseason, Milwaukee’s core remains intact.

Without any draft picks to work with, general manager Jon Horst made a flurry of acquisitions via free agency to round out the roster. Players like Wesley Matthews, Robin LopezDragan Bender and Kyle Korver fill the roster’s few holes. Overall, the team that finished with the league’s best record last season very well could do so again.

That brings us to this question: Which players on the Bucks could have a breakout season in 2019? With so many solidified roles and supreme depth, standing out won’t be easy. One of these players’ improvement could be at the expense of another’s regression. Is there a hidden gem waiting for his number to be called? Who could help put Milwaukee over the top?
