The Phoenix Suns found themselves back at the bottom of the NBA last season. But with a revamped roster, three newcomers could feel the pressure heading into next season.
Entering a new season, ushers in a variety of questions for teams in NBA: Who can contend for a title? Who will find themselves back in the lottery? Who can sneak into the playoffs? For the Phoenix Suns the pressure is on enough to simply win games.

Following a very active offseason, the team brought in a variety of new faces to tackle the task head on. That included the addition of nine new players in both the draft and NBA free agency. Those acquisitions included:
- Ricky Rubio
- Dario Saric
- Aron Baynes
- Frank Kaminsky
- Cameron Johnson
- Ty Jerome
- Cheick Diallo
- Jevon Carter
- Jalen Lecque
And while it isn’t the most experienced group of players the Suns could put together, it is a steep upgrade from the group the team had last season. Phoenix finished tied for the second-worst record in the league and lacked an established point guard for nearly the whole season.
But this time around, the script is flipped.
The Suns went out and signed Ricky Rubio to lead the ship and upgraded depth at nearly every position. And in return, the expectations for next season are significantly steeper.
