The Denver Nuggets have a deep roster in 2019-20. The starters have their goals, and there are some other players on the roster with a lot of pressure.

The Denver Nuggets have solidified a number of their core players for their next few years with Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris and Jamal Murray all having long-term contracts. They have a weight off of their shoulders.

However, there are some other players on the roster that will be looking to have a big year in 2019-20 that could have major implications on their career trajectory moving forward.

Players could be looking to get paid with new contracts, raises or other motivations altogether. The bottom line is that they have a ton of pressure on weighing down on them.

Their focus needs to be on performing under that pressure without letting it get to them and negatively affect their play. These guys need a big year for themselves more than the Nuggets do, but the team won’t complain about them playing overly well next season.

For various reasons, these guys have to perform well. Their career trajectories can take various paths depending on how they perform.

We’ve seen players receive mammoth payndays for one year of production and we’ve also seen players get pushed to the wayside before performing up to their potential on their next deal. The bottom line though is that these players have to step up in 2019-20.
