Sacramento Kings: Bogdan Bogdanovic

Having been drafted with a late first-round pick in 2014, Bogdan Bogdanovic made the Sacramento Kings and their fans wait an extra three years before coming over and making his NBA debut.

Since making his debut in 2017, Bogdanovic has served as a pleasant surprise with a crafty inside-out game.

His rookie season saw him take home MVP honors from the Rising Stars Game at All-Star Weekend which was followed up by averages of 14.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore.

Given the state of Sacramento’s roster, there’s little chance for the Serbian wing to crack his way into the starting lineup, but that doesn’t make his development any less crucial towards the success of this team moving forward.

Bogdan may have recently finished up his second year in the league, but he’ll be 27 years old by the time the 2019-20 season kicks off.

He was given close to 30 minutes a game across five seasons overseas, making him far more experienced than most players with his level of tenure at the highest level.

The late 20s are when players typically begin to enter their prime years, and Bogdanovic should be no exception to that rule.

His numbers from last season — along with a 36.0 3-point percentage — were commendable, but a further progression in his game would only better serve a Kings team already on the rise.
